This was a nice picture of the kids in our new home in Massachusetts. This was our second Christmas here and well settled in. While the picture quality wasn’t the best, the smiles were there as well as Mocha, our new addition to the family.
In 1998, digital cameras were starting to come on strong. The prices had come down, and the resolution had increased to 1 megapixel on some high end models. They had pretty good quality for smaller size prints. Unfortunately, we didn’t have one of those, and didn’t even have anyone we could borrow one from.
What we did have was the old Centra 660AV and an analog camcorder. This image of the kids on the stairs was captured on video, in color, and then transferred to the old Mac…then transferred to the new one with zip drives. They were the only disks big enough to fit the large files at the time.
