This was a fun card to do. We all collaborated on the idea, and built on the previous year’s idea. Look closely at the four of us…Patrick is there in his ski coat. The rest of us are there in head only.
This card used the same technical approach as 2002. The pictures of our faces came from Ski trips earlier in the year, complete with a frosting of real snow on Linda’s hat.
This composite includes photos of several other Christmas decorations we have received or bought over the years. The background is borrowed from 2002, but the ground was the trickiest part. It had to look like the horses were standing on it, and still keep the perspective of the scene. It had to look real. We had taken some pictures in Mt St Anne’s, Canada. There’s a very large cathedral there, and the snow had been cleared away from the stone entry. There were patches of snow still remaining. It made a perfect ground cover for our village scene.
The same camera, iMac, and printing services were used as in last year.
