The classic TV special “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was a family favorite. One year our kids watched the video of it every day…through June. It took us a while to get over that, but now we enjoy seeing story of Rudolf and the Abominable Snowman. A few years ago they made a set of characters from the show, and their featured in this year’s card.
This photo is a composite of ten separate images carefully blended, including shadows on the snow. The Christmas tree was a gift to Patrick from his friend Andrew a few years ago. The mountain scene and sky in the background are actually taken from our 2002 card.
This year’s card was produced using Apple’s iPhoto, part of the iLife suite along with iTunes. It was composed on an iMac G5 and printed using the integrated iPhoto service. This is very similar to the KodakEasyShare Gallery, and we suspect Kodak provides the service for Apple.
This year we didn’t need to add the Apple logo ourselves, as it comes pre-printed on the back.
