The move to Connecticut lasted less than a year…then it was on to Switzerland. This photo was taken while on vacation with Jay’s Mom & Dad. We went on a trip to a small town on the Italian border in the lake region. The season’s first snow came overnight in the mountains. While crossing over the Alps through St. Bernard’s pass we stopped to enjoy the scene. Mom took this picture, and we used it as our card that year. This is the only photo used in one of our cards that was taken by someone other than Jay. (Note the photo credit on the back of the card pictured above!)
We came back to the US for the holidays, shuttling between Ohio and Connecticut. It also seemed to be the year of the big gift…we had more than 10 checked bags for the four of us heading back to Europe. This included several very large stuffed animals. And we had three different flights–and the middle one got cancelled. Jay had to actually go into the baggage handling area at the Pittsburgh airport and help them find our last few pieces of luggage! (That probably wouldn’t happen these days)
The technology used was much the same as in 1993, only this time we were more used to it and had better results. It was produced on the Mac Centra 660 AV, Kodak PhotoCD, and HP inkjet printer.
