Last year’s card featured our fireplace front and center. This year we zoom in to a few Santa figures in our collection.
No, they aren’t really in snow globes. That was done through the Christmas magic of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
It all started with a purchased EPS vector image of a snow globe. Then individual photos of several of our large Santa figures were taken and the backgrounds stripped out using Photoshop. A close up view of our fireplace mantle serves as the background. Since the tall Santa figures didn’t fit inside a round snow globe very well, egg-shaped versions were used instead. Each Santa was resized and inserted in between layers of the globes. The final images were assembled in Adobe Illustrator and exported as a JPG image.
